|
Day 1 : Delhi -Udaipur (Flight)
Morning transfer in time to Delhi airport to board the
flight for Udaipur. Meeting & assistance on arrival and
transfer to hotel. Afternoon proceed for a sightseeing tour
of Udaipur city visiting City Palace, Jagdish Mandir &
Sahelion ki bari. The City Palace, once entirely the home of
Mewar’s rulers, is today largely a museum run by the
Maharana Mewar Foundation. It actually consists of four
major and several minor palaces forming a single
breathtaking facade overlooking the Pichola Lake. Jagdish
Mandir, close by the main gate of City Palace which is
dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Sahelion – ki – Bari is Garden of
the maids of honor. Evening boat cruise (common boat -seat
on sharing basis) on Lake Pichola, surrounded by splendid
hills, Palace, temples, bathing ghats and embankments. (Boat
ride is subject to availability of sufficient water in Lake)
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2 : Udaipur - Delhi (Flight)
Morning proceed for sightseeing of Eklingji & Nagda temples.
About 20 kms from Udaipur is the temple of Eklingji,
dedicated to Lord Shiva, the family deity of the Maharana’s
of Mewar. It dates back to 8th century, has silver door,
screen and silver Nandi (bull facing the black marble Siva).
A kilometer further is the ruins of Nagda Jain temples. The
complex though comparatively same has some intricate and
beautiful carvings on the pillars, ceilings and the walls
depicting stories from the mythologies (Mahabharata and
Ramayana). Afternoon transfer in time to Udaipur airport to
board the flight for Delhi. Meeting & assistance on arrival
at Delhi airport and transfer to hotel or to International
airport to board flight for onward destination.
